Guest scores and detailed hotel feedback
Staying at this hotel was a mixed experience. On one hand, the rooms were very quiet and cozy with unique features like an old-fashioned claw-footed tub, but they lacked windows which may not suit everyone's preference. The service was top-notch, with friendly and helpful staff, though it could sometimes be a bit too hands-on. The location was picturesque, offering easy access to shops and restaurants, yet it could get noisy due to the walking traffic late into the night. The dining experience was enjoyable, especially the continental breakfast, but lacked variety for those with different tastes.
The hotel had very comfortable and spacious rooms that were clean and beautifully decorated. However, being in the basement was not our first choice if we had known beforehand. The service was top-notch, with the staff being very helpful with taxi reservations and dining tips, and they went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay. The location was extremely convenient, close to the Metro and Dupont Circle, making it easy to explore the city. The dining experience was fantastic, with a delicious daily-made granola and a variety of delightful dishes. The facilities were well-maintained and added to our overall enjoyment of the stay.
I had a delightful stay at this charming inn. The room I stayed in was cozy and inviting, making me feel like royalty with its large carved wood headboard. The location is fantastic, close to Dupont Circle and the Red Line of the Metro system, offering easy access to various attractions in DC. The service was exceptional, making me feel like I was among good friends who went above and beyond in ensuring my comfort. The dining experience was lovely, with a delicious buffet breakfast that set the perfect tone for my day.
Staying in the 'Serengheti Suite' brought a lot of light into our room, and the local restaurants were easily accessible. The fireplace was a nice touch, even though we didn't get to use it due to the lack of logs.
The hotel is unique, with rooms on the front side of the house and its own entrance down a few steps. The breakfast served in the fabulous old dining room adds to the charm. The service is friendly, offering a congratulatory bottle of champagne and helpful local restaurant suggestions. The location is picturesque, close to shops and restaurants. The dining experience is generous and healthy, although it could be better. Overall, it's a historical gem with friendly service and lovely surroundings.
The hotel is superbly located with a large balcony overlooking the pool, giving me a unique perspective. The rooms were comfortable and spacious, though I felt a bit out of place waiting for them to be ready. The service was exceptional, with extremely kind staff, especially during breakfast hours. The location was fantastic, close to Dupont Circle and the Metro, offering convenience without the noisy crowds. The dining experience was adequate, but not exceptional, compared to the overall top-notch service. The facilities were well-maintained, and the on-site free parking was a definite plus.
